Flight of Lunacy, Balley Balley, Hoi Hoi

Moon Plane

Moon Plane, otherwise Chandrayaan

India blasted off its Chandra Yaan I as the country embarks on its first ever lunar exploration. Great achievement! Now we can know more about:

Minerals
Elements
And, also have a 3D Atlas of Moon’s surface.

It’s a major step “to keep pace with other space-faring nations in Asia”. Even though it’s a “long way to go”, India definitely proves it can compete with China and Japan.

Cheers, what a waste!

Its sad in a way that your supremacy is now defined by the Nuclear Power plant you own. This whole race on space journey thingy. Its sad and funny at the same time. Whats even funnier is- how the US is seeing countries like China, Russia and India
as its rival. and sick worried about Iran’s progress or North Korea for that matter.

For each generation their decade is special hola. But damn..I feel this is the most awesome time ever. 60s might have been radical, 70s might have its own flavor but this generation is just beyond anything else- except for the stinking music they produce nowadays. Besides that – This is the best time to be alive. Esp witnessing America taking a downhill – not that I necessarily enjoy watching but I am finding this process super interesting. Back then- it was all about North America or Europe may be. This time- think I am enjoying how the focus has moved from NA/Euro to Asia.

wonder why I didn’t notice earlier- you couldn’t have had come up with a better title. how apt it that! haha…

I’m still going Balley Balley.. dhik chik dhik chik dhik

By the way, the words “lunar”, “lunacy”, “lunatic” and “moon” have a common etymological meaning.

Oh give me a break. The total cost of this lunar mission was $79M USD, which is about 1/3 the price of a 747 jumbo jet, so many of which take off and land at Indian airports everyday – and have been doing so for decades now. Why are people waking up just to crib and whine over this now, if they’ve not been disturbed by the more costly airliners flying over their heads for decades? And even then this total mission cost has been spread out over 10 years – so $8M per year. That’s less than the annual salary of one of these bollywood bigwigs. Come on now, don’t tell me you have to raid the coffers of science organizations, because you don’t know where to find money for the poor. How about making one less bollywood film per year, out of the countless junk films that get made, and instead giving that money to the poor? Would that be too much to ask? Your comments tell me more about you, than about the subject you’re commenting upon.

exactly- thats why the title fits in perfectly! sarcastically as well as aa….etymologically!??…
