Today is the Martyrs’ Day. Every year this date, we Nepali people celebrate this day honoring all those hero and immortals who gave their lives for the country, for democracy during the Rana regime, 2017, 2047 and 2063 B.S.
Incidentally, today, it’s freaking cold. And I never had Tumba. I have heard others say – tumba khaney, ani jeu tato garney! I never cared what they were saying, until today. I had this urge from deep down inside my belly to get drunk and get completely wasted. And as they say “mausaam le challenge garya cha aaja”. It’s around 3.30 PM, I am at the office room and thinking about getting drunk. Crazy!
Why not, in the name of Martyrs, drink Tumba and get drunk and get super wasted.
News Flash:
Prime Minister released a statement. And they went to the Martyr’s Memorial at Lainchowr and paid homage to the martyrs by throwing a bunch of garlands and flowers. Some also went to Shahidgate. Salutes, flowers, abir, photos and news.

‘Did people abandon the idea of scaling Mt Everest though it was so perilous?’
Che would tell his men.
‘Guerrilla warfare is also like that. One day, we will win, like the climbers who succeeded with Mt Everest.’

“Empty your pockets son; they got you thinking that
What you need is what they selling.”
(No Shelter – OST Godzilla, Rage Against The Machine)
“What you need is what they selling” – yes, this might look like a plain simple true fact. As a consumer, one might think that the factories and corporate industries (noodles, magazines, music, cosmetics, luxury, and everything) are producing goods/services on the basis of consumer demands.

Drought makes the workers dream
Muscles and fields of green
Shovel the last few crumbs
Of generosity

When I first heard Rage Against The Machine (their album Evil Empire), I instantly loved the band because of the kind of music they played. I did not know about the band’s history, political beliefs of the members, the lyrics – it was simply a powerful music full of rage and conviction – a fusion of rap, funk and metal with aggression.
For more on RATM, visit the band’s wiki page or their official website. Also, please go through the “Political Views and Activism” section of the wiki page.
RATM expressed their political belief and stance through the lyrics, which are written by the vocalist Zach de la Rocha. This article is my attempt to find the relevance of his “strong left winged, anti-US inspired lyrics” of the song “We gotta take the power back” to the present situation of our country. (Full Lyrics)
WE GOTTA TAKE THE POWER BACK
In the right light, study becomes insight
But the system that dissed us
Teaches us to read and write
So called facts are fraud
They want us to allege and pledge
And bow down to their god
How many a times have the government (the current interim government or all the previous governments) forced feed us wrong information and in turn presented themselves as the lords who gave power to the people?
Numerous times! The same system which was/is set up to protect the people, to keep things in order has in countless instances acted as the criminal itself – betrayers, killers, whores selling the Nation’s resources. These power hungry ones have never looked beyond their own self interests and shrewd means of gaining money and power. And they are the elite, they are the powerful and they and their allegiances are the GOD now.

Blogging for money?
The concept itself sounds ironic. I can not help but laugh whenever I come across a blog polluted with “Google Ads”. What a greed!
Some of you might say – why the hell not? You might argue – why does it bother you that I am earning $$$$$ from my blog site?
It’s your right, please go ahead. You do not bother me at all.
As for me, I won’t simply hang around the sites with such pests. It is annoying. It stinks of greed.

I love this guy.
Yes, he is a genius, rest are not.
Blog: The word “blog” is literally shorthand for “boring;” a vulgar, overused word that strikes your ear with the dull thud of a cudgel to the soft spot of a child’s head. It’s an abbreviation used by journalism drop outs to give legitimacy to their shallow opinions and amateur photography that seems to be permanently stuck in first draft hell.
Blogger: Term used to describe anyone with enough time or narcissism to document every tedious bit of minutia filling their uneventful lives. Possibly the most annoying thing about bloggers is the sense of self-importance they get after even the most modest of publicity. Sometimes it takes as little as a referral on a more popular blogger’s website to set the lesser blogger’s ego into orbit.
Blogging: If minds had anuses, blogging would be what your mind would do when it had to take a dump.
Blogged: What you call a trivial or largely inconsequential topic once bloggers have processed through every tired detail. For more on this, look into: every minor news story.
Blogosphere: The “blogosphere” is the new buzz word that has replaced “information super highway.” It’s what idiots like to call a collection of “blogs,” otherwise known as a tragedy.
Blogomania: Like all other manias, except relating to the infatuation of blogs. It’s one step above the more caustic phrase “blog-o-rama.” Thankfully the latter hasn’t caught on to the extent of its brethren, but that doesn’t stop me from punching anyone who says it in the dick.
Blogroll: A long list of links that nobody will ever click on. Bloggers not only link to their friends and fellow bloggers, but their eventual goal is to link to every linkable document on the Internet.
Blogstorm: A zany phrase news anchors like to use any time they think there’s an abnormal amount of posts on blogs regarding any particular topic. Of course, they fail to consider any amount of posting to a blog is abnormal since people who are well adjusted usually have better things to do, i.e., work, or failing that, anything else.
Blogging community: Losers, goths, bedwetters, and journalism dropouts.
Blogebrity: Wow, guess what this one stands for? Too easy. Hey, anyone can do it: take a blogger who’s a chef, and you get: BLEF. A blogger who’s a dentist? BENTIST. A female blogger with an itch? You guessed it: a BITCH.
Friendblog: None are known to exist since bloggers don’t have friends.
Watchblog: Let’s not.
